We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
mockMD is an AI-powered medical examination simulation platform designed for Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) preparation. The Service provides voice-based practice sessions with AI-generated patient characters across multiple clinical domains.
The Service is intended solely as an educational and practice tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All clinical scenarios, patient responses, and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence for training purposes only.
3. Account & Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a medical student, healthcare professional, or individual preparing for clinical examinations
• Create an account with accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscription & Payment
mockMD offers paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, and Max) with varying features and session limits. By subscribing, you agree to:
• Pay the applicable subscription fees as displayed at the time of purchase
• Automatic renewal at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Payments are processed securely through Paystack
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until your current period expires. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Study Group plans are subject to additional terms regarding seat allocation and group administration.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
• Attempt to circumvent session limits, feature restrictions, or other platform safeguards
• Use the Service for any purpose other than legitimate examination preparation and medical education

Each account is limited to one active session at a time. Starting a new session will automatically end any existing active session.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of mockMD — including but not limited to clinical scenarios, AI models, user interface design, branding, and software code — are the exclusive property of mockMD and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal educational purposes. This licence does not extend to any commercial use, redistribution, or derivative works.
Session transcripts and feedback generated during your use of the Service are provided for your personal study purposes only.
7. Medical Disclaimer
This is the most important section of these terms.
mockMD is a practice and preparation tool only. The AI-generated patient interactions, clinical scenarios, and feedback provided by the Service:
• Do NOT constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Should NOT be relied upon for clinical decision-making in real patient care
• May contain inaccuracies, as AI-generated content is not infallible
• Are designed to simulate examination conditions, not replace clinical training or supervision
The grading and feedback provided (including history-taking assessment, management evaluation, and interpersonal skills scoring) are AI-generated approximations intended to guide your study. They do not represent official examination scores or clinical competency assessments.
Always defer to qualified medical professionals, official examination bodies, and accredited training programmes for clinical guidance and examination standards.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, mockMD and its operators shall not be liable for:
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• Any loss or damage resulting from reliance on AI-generated content, feedback, or scores
• Any examination outcomes, clinical decisions, or professional consequences related to your use of the Service
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical failures
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to violations of these Terms of Use or suspected fraudulent activity.
Upon termination:
• Your right to access the Service ceases immediately
• Any remaining subscription period is forfeited if termination is due to a violation of these terms
• We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
